Pumpkin is the flavor of the season.
Baking bread to share with loves one’s is a favorite pastime for the holidays.
So, I have this delectable Pumpkin Bread that can be baked two different ways.
Makes two loaves
Ingredients:
¾ cup unsalted butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
15 ounce can pumpkin
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground cloves
Optional add-ins: ½ cup chocolate chips and ½ cup pecans
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix together the butter and sugar until smooth
Then add the eggs, pumpkin, and vanilla. Blend until mixed together really well.
Next, in a separate bowl combine the dry ingredients. While the mixer is still on, slowly add the flour mixture and mix until smooth.
If adding in optional mix-ins, add half of them now.
Spray a loaf pan to prevent sticking. The recipe makes two loaves.
Pour pumpkin bread batter into two loaf pans and set aside.
If adding in optional mix-ins, top loaves with ½ of the mix in ingredients, sprinkled over the batter.
Bake for 60-70 minutes at 350 degrees.
Serve warm or wrap up your Pumpkin Bread to share with friends and family.
